This assignment provided me with the opportunity to curate a digital collection of resources that I can draw upon to enhance my teaching practices. I found this exercise particularly valuable as it enables me to have a readily available set of supplementary resources to utilize when needed, whether as a teacher on call or during practicum placement. Of the resources I have collected, the Reading Football Chart is one that I am particularly enthusiastic about incorporating into my own classroom. As a sports enthusiast, I am excited to incorporate this gamified approach to encourage a love for reading among my students. The chart involves students progressing up a virtual football field as they complete books, earning rewards for reaching different yard lines. This interactive and engaging approach is designed to motivate students to read, with those who do not read often having the option to complete assigned novels from class. I believe this resource has the potential to be a fun and interactive year-long activity that supports the teaching of literacy skills.
